Dwight Yoakam’s Love Story Journey with Emily Joyce

Introduction

Dwight Yoakam, born in Kentucky and raised in Ohio, is a 63-year-old pioneer of country music known for his unique rockabilly and honky-tonk sound. When his style wasn’t accepted in Nashville, he moved to California at age 20, where he “grew up” and found success as both a musician and an actor. He was inspired by artists like Emmylou Harris and Ricky Skaggs and eventually got to make his music “his way on his own terms.” He also hosts a satellite radio show called “The Bakersfield Beat.”

Dwight began dating Emily Joyce, a photographer from Omaha, Nebraska, in 2010. Emily runs her own photography business. The video then shows footage of the couple, including at a 2019 movie premiere.
