Introduction
Agnetha Fältskog, born on April 5, 1950, is a Swedish singer and songwriter best known as a member of the iconic pop group ABBA. She began her musical journey with domestic success in Sweden, releasing her self-titled album in 1968. She then achieved international superstardom in the 1970s as the youngest member of ABBA, one of history’s best-selling music acts.
After ABBA’s official breakup in December 1982, Fältskog pursued a successful solo career in the late 1980s, releasing three albums and starring in a movie. In the 1990s, she became more reclusive, avoiding public attention and residing on the island of Ekerö in Stockholm County.
She took a 16-year hiatus from recording music before releasing “My Colouring Book” in 2004. In 2013, she made a notable comeback with “A,” her highest-charting solo album in the UK to date. ABBA has since reformed, with Fältskog resuming her role in the group. The video also lists nearly 24 of her English singles released between 1974 and 2023.
In her personal life, Agnetha Fältskog was married to fellow ABBA member Björn Ulvaeus from 1971 to 1980. She later married Thomas Sonnenfeld from 1990 to 1999. She has two children.
